237 East, on Chillingham Road, is a self-described ‘neighbourhood diner serving up tasty brunch, lunch and dinner’ alongside a selection of local craft beer on draught, cocktails and more. The venture is the latest from the same food team at work at The Tanners, going by the name of the ‘Scranners Arms crew’, who also operate The Blue Star Newcastle. It’s got a new sound system and records adorn the wall alongside laid back booths – it’s sure to be a popular spot as the latest addition to Chilli Road’s eateries.
